Arrival
Trains stop at Sheringham on the Bittern line from Norwich, half an hour by car from the house. The porter meets the 16:48 from Norwich, given a day's notice.
By car: from London take the M11 north to Cambridge, then the A11 to Norwich and the A1067/A148 north-west to Holt; from Holt take the B1156 north to the A149 coast road and turn west toward Wells. Stiffkey is signed on the left after four miles; Quay End is the first lane at the eastern end of the village.
